It's interesting that sometimes when I'm the most stressed with all the responsibilities of adulthood, I find the drawing a day project the most gratifying. Drawing is calming and allows me good processing time, which I need. This most likely stems from my childhood when I would create endless drawings on the reams of printer paper from my mom's office. There's never an incorrect way to draw and when you're a kid there isn't a teacher critiquing your technique or commenting on what you did wrong - it's just free creative time. Somewhere along the way we lose our sense of creation and freedom of play as we enter into work culture, adulthood and have more responsibilities. Despite the challenges that come with adulting, I work every day to find my inner child, let it out and thank it for never leaving me.
